About Us

Riva Ridge Memory Care Center is registered as a Type B small, Alzheimer's certified, Assisted Living Facility, licensed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services. We're located off US 183 on the northeast side of Leander at 801 Riva Ridge Drive – just 20 minutes north of Austin. Since March 2000, seniors with dementia and those simply needing help with their daily activities have called Riva Ridge home. By providing person centered care in a family-like setting, our caregivers are able to meet the ever changing needs of our residents and help them feel safe, comfortable and loved each moment of each day.

We're structured to care for a total of 12 residents. This small size allows us to adapt our services to the unique needs of each patient and provide them with a truly personalized plan of care. Our family-style environment allows us to not just bond with the residents, but also to their extended family – a characteristic rarely seen in other care settings. We're able to customize menus, activities and even the décor to accommodate individual preferences and needs.

Riva Ridge Memory Care is owned and operated by Ken Missler, a health care executive with over 30 years experience in hospital administration, group practice administration and health facilities development. Working together with a dedicated group of compassionate caregivers, the team at Riva Ridge Memory Care possesses extensive experience in working with Alzheimer's patients.
